Adam’s Taste Maker Guide
Breakfast: Cheeky Monkey, Richmond, Melbourne
Order: Chilli scrambled eggs, banana date smoothie, and a piccolo
Coffee: Good Love, St Kilda, Melbourne
Order: Strong oat cappuccino
Lunch: Gimlet, Melbourne
Order: This place has so much theatre, and is such a sense of occasion that everything tastes great. Each time I’ve been there it’s been a rollicking over the top lunch - full of hedonism and good times.
Special dinner: Cicciolina, St Kilda, Melbourne
Order: Go to dinner 90 minutes early and grab a drink (Manhattan?) in the booths in the back bar. Then go to the front of the restaurant, admire the feminine artworks on the wall, chat to the coolest waitstaff and order whatever. Must have the crab soufflé Followed by spaghetti vongole, and some sticky date for desert. It’s nice
Casual dinner: Rococo, St Kilda, Melbourne
Order: It’s huge and they have room and the kids love it. We order two kids spaghetti bolognaise’s, a pork sausage spaghetti, and a vegetable lasagne. Maybe a garlic bread to share. The food comes quickly with love, and the kids get something to draw with. It’s a perfectly ran family restaurant.
Special shoutouts

St George, St Kilda - it’s great that Karen Martini is back in St Kilda
Milk the Cow Licensed Fromagerie - I love this place wine whiskey and cheese and that’s it - how cool is that and it’s packed all the time
